DARLING Harbour will be transformed into soccer central for the 2010 FIFA World Cup as Sydney becomes one of only six cities in the world to host an official Fan Fest site.

Soccer fans will be treated to three huge screens that will broadcast all 64 games from South Africa, along with live entertainment, food stalls and a late-night bar.

Hotels across Sydney also have been granted extended trading hours. More than 20,000 soccer lovers are expected to descend on Darling Harbour when Australia plays, starting on Monday when the Socceroos take on the might of Germany.
